Simple Burger Recipe

So my kids are getting fussy with food so I am constantly hiding veggies in their dinners. Onion has to sneak into all our dinners now to reduce episodes of drama. This is done by blitzing it in the blender. They make the burger mixture moist so nothing else is required to hold it all together. I love flavour and these are delicious and the kids agree. J and B say they are better than any other burger and we always have a clean plate. We make these all year round and not just for summer.

This makes 8 thin burger and serves 4

  • 500g Beef Mince (use 5%fat mince for extra healthy)
  • Onion diced then blitzed in the blender
  • 1 tsp Mixed herbs
  • 1 tsp Onion Salt
  • Salt & Pepper

  1. Chop and blitz the onion as small as possible in your blender.
  2. Combine all the ingredients and mix with hands
  3. Knead the meat
  4. Divide the meat into 8
  5. Roll into a ball then squish them really thin. They look big but they will shrink – tip squash them onto a piece of baking paper. This makes it easy to peel off.
  6. Cook in a pan with a bit of oil. A few minutes each side. They cook super quick
  7. Add one or two burgers to a bun and add all your extras. We like to use a Warburtons’ thin or a brioche bun.
  8. Enjoy
